Our customers include national oil companies, multinationals, leading industrial and chemical companies and the
world’s largest airlines. We deliver the products they need on time and specification by sourcing and
managing the movement of energy through the relevant infrastructures.
Trading & distribution
Trading, that is the efficient distribution of energy around the world, is at the core of our business. Every day we trade over 7 million barrels of crude oil and products, buying from producers and delivering to refiners, wholesalers and distributors worldwide.
Production
Glimar Refinery maintains a focused and strategic presence in the global oil and gas sector, with a total production output of approximately 100,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd). Our operations are primarily concentrated in two key regions — West Africa and the United States — where we continue to expand through innovation, efficiency, and responsible resource management.
Refining
Glimar Refinery holds investments in over 500,000 barrels per day of refining capacity across Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East. This broad international presence provides us with deep insights into the short- and medium-term challenges facing today’s refiners — from optimizing feedstock sourcing and refining efficiency to navigating the complexities of the global energy transition.
Storing and blending
We own over 17 million cubic meters of storage capacity, which coupled with significant leased capacity, means we can store and blend bespoke combinations to deliver optimal feedstock and products, responding to an ever-changing market.
Shipping
Our shipping expertise is integral to our trading business, enabling us to move energy around the world, safely and efficiently. Through our company, Glimar Refinery International Shipping, we control and operate a fleet of vessels which operate globally.
Downstream
We are invested in downstream and distribution assets with circa 7,000 retail sites globally, as well as the associated infrastructure. We also supply jet fuel into wing at more than 145 airports worldwide.
